The National Offender Management Service brings together the Probation Service, Prison Service and all organisation working with offenders and is responsible for reducing re-offending and managing the budget of correction services. In the future these services will be commissioned at a regional level and voluntary and private sector providers will provide an increasing proportion of services.
The priority areas for NOMS include accommodation, education training and employment, mental and physical health, drugs and alcohol, finance benefit and debt. The most recent strategy documents and newsletters are available from their website.
