HAYH Membership
In this section of the HAYH website you can learn about the benefits of HAYH Membership, and find out how to become a HAYH Member. If you’re already a HAYH Member you can access the secured HAYH Member Database from here.
There are two types of HAYH Members in the HAYH network: Full Members and Associate Members.
Benefits of Full Membership:
Full Members are voluntary and community sector organisations based in Yorkshire & Humberside that are working with people who are homeless or in housing need. When an organisation has signed up as a HAYH Member each individual working within that organisation can use the same HAYH password and username to access the HAYH network. Larger organisations may have several projects or field offices operating in different local authorities in the region, and these may sign-up for HAYH Membership separately. Each HAYH Member organisation can vote on HAYH Surveys and give feedback on HAYH Member Consultations once only. HAYH recommends that each organisation that has signed up as a HAYH Member designate one individual to co-ordinate responses to HAYH Surveys, HAYH Member Consultations, and other interactions with the HAYH Network. Housing Associations and Local Authorities may hold HAYH Membership, however only voluntary and community sector organisations can vote to elect the HAYH Executive.
- HAYH Members can post items onto the HAYH website instantly. This excludes campaign items which are approved by the HAYH Executive before being posted onto the website.
- HAYH Members can receive the ‘HAYH Weekly E-bulletin’, a summary of items that have been posted on the HAYH website that week.
- HAYH Members can access the secured HAYH Member Database, allowing them to see the profile and contact details of other HAYH Members.
- HAYH Members can participate in HAYH Member Consultations and HAYH Surveys.
- HAYH Members can submit photographs that profile their organisation to the HAYH Website Photo Library.
- HAYH Members will be eligible to receive free tickets to homelessness and housing conferences and events in the region.
- HAYH Members can stand for, and vote to elect, the HAYH Executive.
- HAYH Members can observe HAYH Executive Meetings.
- HAYH Membership is free!
Benefits of Associate Membership:
Associate Members are voluntary and community sector organisations based outside of Yorkshire & Humberside that are working with people who are homeless or in housing need. This includes housing associations and local authorities. When an organization has signed up as an Associate Member each individual working within that organization can use the same HAYH password and username to access the HAYH network. Larger organizations may have several projects or field offices operating in different local authorities outside of Yorkshire & Humberside, and these may sign-up for Associate Membership separately. HAYH recommends that each organisation that has signed up as an Associate Member designate one individual to co-ordinate interactions with the HAYH Network. Associate Members are also individuals with an interest in housing and homelessness issues who are not associated with an organisation. Although Associate Members do not enjoy all of the privileges of HAYH Members there are several benefits to becoming an Associate Member.
- Associate Members can post items onto the HAYH website once they have been approved by the HAYH Executive.
- Associate Members can receive the ‘HAYH Weekly E-Bulletin’, a summary of items that have been posted on the HAYH website that week.
